Toni's mom has been sick, but is getting much, much better.
Hopefully she'll get to go home in a couple of days.
Toni's birthday is Thursday.
Yep, she'll be old.
Really old.
Way older than me.
Kuz I'm still 21!
We have not had one call about a foster child since we
decided we'd take the girls.
You know, the girls we never got.
Remember?
So I emailed our placement coordinator.
She said they haven't had any kids placed with them that have been
a good fit for us.
So we wait.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait some more.
Patience is not a virtue of mine.
My kids leave to go see their dad on July 4th.
I didn't want to not have them on that Holiday.
So we are heading to Dallas on that day.
And are going to pop fireworks with Dad and his wife.
Hopefully he'll grill hamburgers out.
And we'll watch the fireworks from his back yard.
And then the next day we are all taking the kids to
Six Flags.
I love Six Flags.
And then on Monday me and Toni will come home.
Alone.
To silence.
Which will be nice for about a day or two.
And of course this is all depending on whether we have another child yet.
It might not be so silent in our house on July 6th.
Oh.
What if we get a kiddo when my kiddos are gone?
Haven't thought about that.
I guess that would be okay if the kiddo we get is a baby.
My BFF called me a PITA today.
And told me that it isn't my boss day.
Everyday is my boss day!
Everyone knows that!
And I'm not a PITA!!!
Pita is bread!!
I is fluffy, but I is not bread!
I have nothing else to say.
For the first time in my whole life.

You forgot to tell them what else I called you...all the nice things I said! You know, like "amazing, and wonderful and safe". Although, admittedly, if you voluntarily GIVE someone a day to be boss, then try to take it away from them, that does make you, at best, and INDIAN GIVER, and will invoke some form of unhappiness on my part! I have to say, in Jilliebean's defense, she did let me be boss on Saturday, since it was my birthday. It's hard to boss from 1,400 miles away, but I sure had fun trying! She truly is an amazing friend and I'm grateful she is in my life...wouldn't trade her for anything...even on her boss days!
Love yews!
